Panther Pause™

Hello and Welcome to our new blog Panther Pause™, here you will find a mom & dad's point of view of traveling with three young cubs. Two are in elementary school and a toddler. The girls are the authors of Cubbie Pause. They go by the pen name Clover, Crimson and Chives.  We will take a break and give our views both pros and cons of what we have experience thru our travels.

My family and I had a great time at The Gaylord Texan a few nights ago. We only spent one night since it's not that far from us and we didn't want to get a dog sitter for our doggie Coco. We drove over around 3 in the afternoon. We parked in the parking garage and walked to the main entrance of the hotel. My husband checked us in as the girls and I walked thru the lobby and explored a little. Looking around at the model trains. We stopped and took a picture with an 8 ft. Grim Reaper that was walking around. He was friendly only my youngest "chives" didn't want to be near him. My other two "crimson and clover", stood by him for a quick photo. We took the elevator up to our room. Our room was at the end of the hall. We had an interior balcony overlooking a fountain. We relaxed in our room for a bit then we went down to eat.

The Texas Station is where we decided to eat at there was a 15-minute wait. The Texas Station is sport bar with multiple T.V.'s and good food. We ate on the "patio", it's an inside deck. (funny note our room looks down on this "patio" area) I will tell you that inside the sport bar it's super loud. The food was served in good portions. They had a kid menu and my youngest was the only one who had something off the kid menu.

Next, I went to the front to get the free scavenger hunt for us to play. I remembered that they had scavenger hunts for free at the front desk when I was looking at the indoor stream and saw some of the letters for the game. There is also a paid scavenger hunt, but we didn't do that one. We went up to our room and rested for a little while before making our way down to the pool.

The pool is large and outdoors. There are towels to use for the pool near the pool chairs. There is also a restroom near the pool it was just down a handful of stairs. After a quick restroom stop we went back into the pool. You have the option of ordering from your phone to be served at the pool we didn't do that, but I saw some other guests being served and the QR code that they used.

That was our night at The Gaylord Texan. In the morning, we packed up and headed back to our car and left for home.
